Fallen Pastor Ministry Relaunches

Fallen Pastor Ministries has taken a few steps forward recently and with your help, we will be able to help more people in critical situations. Over the past eight years, we have been the first contact for fallen pastors, churches, and others affected by ministry failure. We have assisted over 600 individuals during that time as part of our ministry and believe God wants us to make greater steps forward.

Who We Are

Ray Carroll is the founding partner of Fallen Pastor Ministries. When he committed adultery and desired restoration, he learned there were not many resources for a fallen minister. God led him to start a blog where he was able to reach many people going through similar circumstances. Months later he was contacted by a publisher and wrote, “Fallen Pastor: Finding Restoration in a Broken World.” Brandon Watkins is the other partner at Fallen Pastor Ministries. Once a worship leader at a large church, he fell into sexual addiction and committed adultery and is committed to helping others in the same situation.

What We’ve Learned

Over the past few years we have learned that there is no excuse for the sin of adultery. We’ve also learned that when a leader falls, there are few who are willing to reach out to them and listen. Churches, denominations, and leaders are often ill-equipped or just too hurt by the sin of their pastor to reach out. The same is true when it comes to issues like sexual addiction and pornography. For years, Christians have struggled silently in church without feeling like they have anyone to talk to or anywhere to go. At Fallen Pastor Ministries, we are here for everyone. We’ve been to that low point and understand exactly what it’s like to need the grace of God and to desire to share it with someone else who has fallen. No Christian should ever be cast aside for any reasons. Every person deserves a chance at redemption and the grace of Christ.

What We Do

We are here for anyone who wants help. For fallen church leaders, we walk them through those intense first moments when their sin become public. We don’t condone their sin; we are here to walk with them and listen when they feel alone. Mixing truth with love, we walk alongside them. Our ministry is here for the sexually addicted and allow them the chance to be honest with someone for the first time about their problems. We are here for churches who are trying to make sense of the pain left behind after a leader sins. Our ministry exists for the family of the fallen pastor. We are also here for the one some people call “the other woman,” who is often cast aside.

Our ministry does three things: Sharpen, support, sustain. We sharpen those in the church so that they don’t make the same mistakes we and thousands others before us made. We support the fallen by walking alongside them and giving them the resources they need to be restored to Christ and if possible, their family and church. Finally, we want to sustain those struggling with sexual addiction and pornography either by correspondence or referral.

How You Can Help

We are in the process of moving this ministry forward and need your help. First, if you know someone who needs our help, have them contact us. It’s confidential and they will not be judged. You can also help by sharing this post and getting the word out about Fallen Pastor Ministries. Next, please be in prayer for us as we discover what God has for us. Also, mention us to your church or leadership group as we would love to come share our message with the people of your congregation or gathering. Finally, be in prayer about supporting us financially. We want to get the conversation started about ministry failure and why it starts. To do that, we will need financial support. With your prayer and support, we believe we can make a dent in this serious issue.

  1. This is so great to know that there is hope for fallen shepards. I can see he need when you hear the news. I’d like to see that you minister to pastors that fall into apostasy too.
